As the largest and tallest lighthouse in Vietnam: Like some lighthouses located in the middle of the sea, Phu Quy Lighthouse is located on Cam mountain with a height of 108m above sea level. This is one of the largest lighthouses in Vietnam, making a precarious position on the top of a high mountain to help fishermen navigate easily at night, avoiding many unfortunate accidents.

All boats and fishing boats of fishermen operating in the waters of Phan Thiet Binh Thuan rely on the lighthouse on Cam Mountain to be able to operate easily and safely dock. The lighthouse is like a bridge connecting the beloved sea and islands with the people here.

Exquisite and fancy design: Cam Mountain Lighthouse is beautifully designed with a compound shape, with a height of up to 20m from the center of the light to the foundation, an estimated width of about 4m. The tower is designed with a square light tower with white light standing out in the middle of the gray tower. This light can illuminate 360 degrees, visibility up to 27 nautical miles (nearly 50km) and the ability to illuminate up to 22 nautical miles.

In particular, the lights use solar energy, and have the ability to automatically switch off according to weather changes. Normally, the lights will automatically light up from about 5:45 pm to about 6 am the next morning depending on the season.

From the moment you set foot on the first stone step of the Lighthouse, you can feel the special and exciting. 120 stone steps are designed from natural stone blocks, experiencing many storms, storms and changes of weather, so they have a very special shape.

There are stone steps that look like exposed stalactites that are so beautiful that people are captivated. When going to the top of the tower, you can zoom your eyes far away, covering the whole majestic and beautiful nature. The scene of the dark blue sea is reflected in the light of the lighthouse, and a few fishing boats are scattered on the sea.

The natural scenery is both beautiful and poetic and very peaceful, helping you dispel all fatigue on the 200m journey climbing 120 stone steps.

The most beautiful time to visit Phu Quy is around the beginning of the year from January to June. During this time, the climate is cool, the sea is calm with clear blue water. This is the time when the natural climate is suitable for traveling to the sea, without worrying about storms or whirlwinds.
